Rural Self-Reliance Development Center (RSDC) was registered in 1991 with the Kathmandu District Administration Office under the Social Organisations Registration Act 2034 BS (ie 1977). It is a non-profit making and non-governmental organization affiliated with the Social Welfare Council.In this organizational form the founder members of RSDC consolidated and conformed the conceptual approaches and methods of community level interaction, first initiated as self reliance development by the poor for the poor under the aegis of the Integrated Development System (IDS) in 1985.
